About the Artist: Barbara Anderson

A native of Wisconsin, Barbara Anderson recalls spending many of her childhood summers running and playing in her grandparent’s beautiful flower gardens. Her passion for the outdoors, gardening, floral designs and wildlife developed at a very young age and soon became a large influence in much of her collage artwork in which she captures the enchanting beauty of nature.

After studying and majoring in commercial art, Barb began illustrating for a sportswear company in Seattle, Washington where many of her vibrant designs were featured across men’s and woman’s sportswear and surf, skate and wildlife apparel.

A hallmark of Barb’s elaborate compositions feature intricate details showing rich color and beautiful, alluring backgrounds combined with butterflies and floral motifs. It brings her joy that so many of her designs have been influenced by the flower gardens, from which she recalls many of her fondest childhood memories.
