Kathleen Taylor Bio
Kathleen Taylor’s first love was a new box of crayons and a clean sheet of drawing paper. A blank white page and a sharp pencil still makes her as happy as a preschooler and she hasn’t stopped.
Her art career began in corporate design as an illustrator/designer for children’s wear and toy manufacturers. She also worked in publishing as a writer/editor/ photo stylist and created her own design studio in 1992. A hopeless collector of vintage junk and furniture she enjoys working in collage/mixed media. “It’s a great way to incorporate my collecting habit into the art” she says.
Her subject matter and verse is inspired by home, family, friends and pets. “I hope to translate my life experiences onto my canvases. My large and amazing family keeps me anchored and inspired and I’m grateful to be able to work at something I love”.
