Sharyn Sowell Bio

Sharyn Sowell began drawing at age 2 and she hasn’t stopped since.

Sharyn is known for hand cut silhouettes, calligraphy, pen & ink with watercolor, and letterpress printing blended together in joyful mixed media images that celebrate the miracles of ordinary life.

Sharyn’s art always bears the delicious imperfections that show the touch of the artist’s hand. Her work has been called “striking… imaginative.”

Sharyn’s art appears on quality products from covers for Amazon’s Kindle to greeting cards, wallpaper, textiles and giftware. Blessed to have worked with the finest manufacturers worldwide, Sharyn feels she’s living her dreams.

A former jewelry designer from Los Angeles, Sharyn loves to sketch in the farmland she now calls home, where she can be found making homemade walnut ink or snapping photos in the garden.
